Schools go Surfing
Founded in 2005, Surf Dubai is the first and only official surf school in Dubai and the U.A.E.
The surf season in Dubai is from October through to April. The combination of wave climate and and fantastic year-round water temperatures, makes Dubai an ideal location for learning to ride a surfboard. Surf Dubai are here to do just that in a safe and exciting environment. All our instructors are fully trained lifeguards and BSA qualified instructors.
The ‘Schools Go Surfing’ program - An 8-12 week program designed specifically for schools. The program involves a strong theory section including oceanography and essential beach/surf knowledge as well as practical in-water instruction. The program promotes working as a team and helps to boost in-water confidence. All students are taken throught the fundamentals of the surfing as well as a light introduction to basic lifesaving techniques.
Similarly to swimming, surfing involves virtually 100% of the muscles in the body. This aspect of the sport makes it an excellent way of improving and maintaing cardiovascular and muscular fitness. Surfing is an exciting and beautiful sport growing rapidly world wide amongst all age groups and gender. Nothing can compare to the thrill of paddling for your first wave, jumping to your feet and riding a wave of pure ocean energy. Surfing is an extremely natural sport, centered in the ocean and an excellent way of staying fit and active. The SGS program is a wonderful way to enjoy an afternoon at the beach and learn an extraordinary sport.
The Programme
The ‘Schools Go Surfing’ (SGS) program is an 8-12 week program designed specifically for schools. The SGS program can be customized to suit the needs of any school.
